| The products available for evaluation are from HP’s imaging & Printing Organization (e.g. All-in-One multifunction products, Scanners, Printers, Digital Cameras, Photo Printers, Copiers and Fax machines). Hewlett-Packard compensates businesses or individuals that are selected and actively participate in these programs. These evaluations are performed with your computer along with a product that is supplied by the Hewlett-Packard Co. Our testing involves two different programs: Beta Testing & Delta Testing. | Beta test programs provide Hewlett-Packard the opportunity to
see and experience how our products perform in a customer's environment. They
offer us a chance to interact with customers, gaining insight on their needs
and behaviors in the use of our products. Beta Evaluators work with the product
for a short period of time (days to weeks). A common area of focus is the "Out
Of Box Experience". This involves product setup, software installation, system
compatibility, and the use of our set-up manuals and documentation. HP personnel
may visit your home or business and directly observe installation, setup and
first usage of the product. Beta Products are prototypes so Evaluators may
experience design defects that will not exist in released products. Compensation
is provided to sites that complete testing. Compensation will depend on the
product being tested and the length of time that testing occurs. In most cases,
we will ship the Evaluator a new product that is the same version as the one they
tested. The compensation unit will be shipped once the product becomes available
in retail stores. |

| Delta test programs provide Hewlett-Packard the opportunity to
validate a product's design in a customer's environment. Delta focuses on the
overall experience, from installation, to day-to-day use, to support and service.
The idea is to identify and address customer issues and concerns before the
product is introduced. Delta units are shipped directly to the participant's home
or business. In some cases, HP personnel may ask to visit your home or business
and directly observe you using the product. Delta sites are selected throughout
the United States. Delta testing typically runs about 6 to 8 weeks, with the Evaluator
retaining the product as compensation. During Delta programs, users are
periodically asked to try out product features, complete exercises and surveys,
and to report back to the Delta support center concerning any problems they
experience. Delta Evaluators keep their product as compensation. Delta units
come with a standard HP warranty that is activated when the product becomes
available in stores. |

Selection Criteria |

Participants for Beta & Delta programs will be selected from people
who complete our application process with VOConline. Evaluators will be selected based
on their computer hardware & software along with customer demographics relating to
the products being evaluated. We will contact you with a request for more detailed
hardware and customer demographics information if you are under consideration for an
upcoming program. This secondary screening process will help us to narrow down the
field of qualified applicants. The screening process will focus on the specific product
you may be testing. Completing a screener does not guarantee that you will be selected
for a Beta or Delta program. Information from people not selected for a current program
will be retained for future test programs. Beta and Delta programs are limited in size
so please submit a screener if you are interested. Hewlett-Packard will only contact
those selected to participate. You will not be contacted unless you are under
consideration for a current program. We ask that you update your profile every
six months to ensure that we have your current information. Only Hewlett-Packard’s
Beta and Delta organization will use the information provided in this application. |
